Ursuline College sophomore Amanda Levaskevich has been named Arrows Athlete of the Month – sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings – for the month of September.
Levaskevich is the Arrows leading scorer for the soccer team and has helped guide the team to a 6-2 record through eight games. She has scored a team-high eight goals, and has recorded a team-high four assists and two game-winning goals.
Following a difficult 4-0 loss to Division I Youngstown State to start the season, Levaskevich scored three times and had an assist as the Arrows won 6-0 on the road at Salem International. Ursuline then fell to 1-2 on the season with a 3-2 loss to Davis & Elkins, where she failed to score.
After that loss, Levaskevich scored a goal in four straight games, including twice in a 4-0 win over Geneva. Ursuline won all four games and has not lost since they fell 3-2 to Davis & Elkins, most recently winning 1-0 in overtime over Seton Hill for the Arrows fifth-straight win – four in a row by shutout.
Last season, Levaskevich played in 16 games and did not score a goal and had only two assists.
