October 2011 - Arrows Athlete of the Month
2012: Started all 17 matches in goal and factored in all 17 decisions (11-6)…allowed 16 goals in 1,428 minutes to finish with a 1.01 goals against average which ranked second in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference…her 47 saves were good for fourth in the conference and she was third in the G-MAC with a .746 save percentage…also notched four shutouts: at Shepherd (Aug. 31), vs. Tiffin (Sep. 18), vs. Urbana (Oct. 28) and in the conference postseason tournament against Cedarville (Nov. 2)…grabbed a season-high five saves in a 2-1 win over Pitt-Johnstown (Sep. 1) and in a 1-0 win over Tiffin (Sep. 18).
2011: NCAA Division II All-Ohio first team selection…earned second team All-Independents Collegiate Athletic Association honors…All-OIC first team…recorded eight shutouts: Ohio Valley (Sept. 30), Seton Hill (Oct. 1), Defiance (Oct. 5), Bethany (Oct. 6), Urbana (Oct. 8), Cedarville (Oct. 22), Mountain State (Oct. 27) and Walsh (Nov. 4)…also played at least a half in shutouts against Salem International (Sept. 4), Geneva (Sept. 21) and Thiel (Sept. 28)…allowed 13 goals in 18 matches to finish with a 0.75 goals against average…made 63 saves to go along with a .829 save percentage…had a season-high nine saves against Notre Dame on Oct. 25.
2010: Received all-conference honorable mention status...started 12 matches in goal for the Arrows...made 83 saves and had a goals against average of 1.50.
2009: Started 18 matches…finished her rookie season with four shutouts and 86 saves…allowed 23 goals…third team all-conference selection…helped the Arrows finish 9-7-2.
North Royalton High School: Played for Kyle Dietrich and Pete Ragone at North Royalton High School…team won 49 matches in her career, including 16 in 2006 when the Bears reached the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division I Final Four before losing to the eventual state champion…part of a club that reached the sectional final in 2005, the district semifinal in 2007 and the district finals in 2008…individually, was a first team All-Northeast Ohio Conference (NOC) and second team All-NOC performer during the course of her career…two-time conference honorable mention selection…’Defensive Player of the Year’…played her club soccer with Excalibur United and Whitecap.
Personal: Born January 30, 1991 in North Royalton, Ohio...daughter of Andy and Rina Smith...has two sisters, Katie and Kristen…majoring in nursing.
